Even though I cant get a round in down here in Devon - theres nothing like a 10 minute hike to Tescos in my old Footjoys.

7 Iron up the vegetable aisle (ended up in the cabbage) followed by a short PW to the checkout.

Definately the Number 1 Snow shoe on the market.

I was wondering this myself as I walked to the shops yesterday.

My conclusion was that soft spikes would be useless, we've all seen how they clog up on frozen and icy fairways. So what about good old traditional metal spikes?

I might give it a go if I can find some lying around here.

Great until you walk into a shop, dig up the floor, get thrown out, banned, walking home, find some ice under the snow and go arse over tit, split head, ambulance, A&E, nice nurses, bandage, walk home, find some ice under the sn....................

etc etc

Nah. I'll stay home in the warm thanks.

You won't find Portmore much good at the moment either, I've played Ilfracombe a couple of times recently as that seems to remain playable a lot longer, was over there a couple of Sundays ago when Portmore was closed and it was almost perfect (the 6th was a bit squishy but other than that it was great).
