Golf Sale London

Yup, went in when I was just starting to play again last year.

Left pretty disappointed to be honest. The stuff in there wasn't cheap compared to the prices you can get it online and I was expecting much more choice, especially at the bottom end of the price bracket.

Not an actual example, but the stuff was like £90 for a used 2007 TaylorMade Burner driver or the same sort of price for a used odyssey from a few years back.

I personally wouldn't go in again but worth a nosey if you're in the area on the off-chance you find something. I would fully expect to be able to find the same stuff for cheaper online though.

Not the same one but went to one in Edinburgh on Hannover Street a few years ago. As above, small and dingy and cluttered with some stuff outrageously prices compared to online. BUT, there are a few hidden gems if you look and I picked up a Mizuno MP-T Series 47 degree in almost new condition for £10... the guy obviously didn't know what he had.

Still using the Sand Wedge I got from there! And still got a Bronty Putter from it too, though only occasional use. Possibly not the same ownership as when I frequented it. It went through a few hands in the 3 or 4 years I was there.

I was told by an ex golf retailer that the guys now on Ebay as ESCGolf used to run, or at least supply, quite a few of the outlets in the Home Countis at least. The first owner of the Hanover St one that I knew certainly used to deal with them.

Been a while since I've visited one, but certainly seemed to have pretty similar gear - some over-priced and some well priced.

'Passing Trade' seems to be a major part of their business model, thus the dayglo signs.

Has anyone been in the shop just off Regent Street/Oxford St. You always see the guys on the street with the sign "Golf Sale" and the arrow. Is it worth a visit?

I hate that shop.
Went in with a mate once to help him decide on some clubs to buy. Was amazed by how expensive things are. The assistant I asked said something like 'we offer the biggest discounts in London' or something to that extent. Well yes you do but those clubs were originally £2000 and are now £750, which is still £300 more than anyone else...

Cramped shop, no golf knowledge from the sales team but if you are in the middle of London and need some clubs...
