Received the latest Direct Golf catalogue through the post today, and one of the bits of paper that dropped out was for Rewards4golf

Has anyone registered with it?

You register your credit and debit cards with them and everytime you use the card you earn points. Granted you need a rediculous amount of points for the most basic of items, just wondered if anyone uses this rewards website and if it is to be trusted.

Looking at Onlinegolf a hundred pound product gives 300 points back £3.00

So if my maths is right if you spend a grand you can get a dozen pro v1s
They do do double/treble points offers too which will bump it up a bit still not very good but its there

I spent £110 at Boots and got £28 pounds of points back which is good i can get myself a aftershave with that

Trying to steer this back on track (I was an Old Spice guy as a teenager when I didn't know any better but have moved onto Boss and Polo nowadays amongst others) I never hold much faith in any of these loyalty cards. Whilst I accept that supermarket cards are beneficial it is purely because we use them regularly (petrol, monthly shop, Christmas/New Year etc) and so the points soon mount up.

Apart from a new set of irons or a driver which I wouldn't purchase untried which sort of defeats the object anyway, you would need to buy silly amounts of gear to actually make enough points to cash in.

I also like to shop around and so if someone else is offering a deal better I'm not going to pay more or just use one site out of any form of loyalty. The days of customer loyalty are long gone as Woolworths and Zavvi will testify but that is just the way of the world.

Nope never heard of it or thinking of signing up to it.

P.S. Aqua di Gio or Hugo Boss for me, used Old Spice when I was about 12-13, felt like battery acid on my face.

HTL,
"P.S. Aqua di Gio or Hugo Boss for me"
I bought some Hugo Boss for HID and she told me where to stick it. So if you ever happen to pass a chair that I have been sitting on........... :p :p

have to say I have signed up to rewards 4 golf - I too was pretty skeptical but was sent a press release about the scheme as it seems like a no brainer
Turns out you can register up to 15 cards (not only yours but your missus' etc) and you get points for every time you (or the other registered card users) spend at places you'd spend at anyway (for me amazon, sainsburys john lewis, M&S etc)
to me the worst that going to happen is I might get a dozen balls at the end of the year!

Not keen on any scheme that involves me passing on my card details to a company that I do not know. Perhaps this is just me being cynical or overly cautious.

Pass on your credit card details to me.
I'm not a company and promise to give you £1.00 for every £10.00 I spend

and that is why I have asked the question. I know you have to spend loads to get little but it still seamed too good to be true.
