I'm curious if anyone is up to any Golf related Red nose sillyness...

I don't know, say something like Golfing up Great Gable, or Scarfell Pike or some such feat of sillyness.?

Playing 18 holes in a reproduction suit of Armour perhaps..?

Speed golf challenges perhaps?

Lands end to John O'Groats with 6 iron & ball cross country..?

Or playing every golf course on a direct line between Lands end & John O'Groats..?

(Have I missed out any other suitably silly quests.?)

I'd love to get involved in something, though its probably too late by now.

I like the idea of a Land's End to John O'Groats - could be played as a relay.

or if the logistics are too awkward - suss out equal distances across each county and run that as a relay. difficult to achieve equality unless each 'pairing' is ready on the first and goes on a phone call.
Could even play it as one round, with one hole on each of 18 courses and a different 'pair' for each course. Lots of scoring options.

Not arranged anything this year but have always been tempted to get a group together to play all of the courses in my county over a weekend. Suppose it is a bit of a cheat as there are only 4 or 5 courses (depending on whether you could those clubs with 2 courses as being more than one to play) in Rutland but at least it would be achievable

Too late. A friend of mine has already done it without a relay.

(Sorry about the link)
:eek: :eek:

He has also done the London Marathon with a full set of clubs hitting rubber balls around the course and you may have seen him at last year's marathon with a friend as (Delboy) Batman and Robin carrying Delboy's Reliant Robin.

What some people will do in the name of charity. Good luck to him.

The fact something has been done before for charity doesn't mean it can't or shouldn't be done again.

How about n playing from Hollyhead to Hastings or some such nonsense, though with so many good courses along the Llynn Peninsular, it'd be nice to stretch together from Nefyn to Royal St Georges sounds like an interesting venture, though not nesessarily in a straight line.

We could have some spammers in the middle of the field trying to catch the balls

:D Worth a watch

So was Henry V with Kenneth Branagh. :D

Heck I've just accused the French of being Spammers.... (Sorry..!) :D :D

Just got this image of the Welsh Bowmen replaced with Armoured Scots Golfers... very odd. There must be something strange in my Malt Whisky :eek: :D

"We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."
