Hi all,

Newbie to the forum! I was hoping someone out there maybe able to advise on the above. I am planning a week there in April / May time and was hoping I may be able to get some advice / reccomendations about where to play and costs etc.

We stayed a couple of years ago at the Compostela Golf Three hotel, very nice hotel, course is flat but fairly decent, short walk into town, BUT be careful walking back as the bushes around the course by the main roundabout are frequented by the lucky sucky girls ;)

A few of us go there every year in September, would highly recommend Adeje Golf club and also Los Americas dependant on the condition of the greens although its only once we have found them to be sub standard.
Also an absolute hidden gem is Tecina on the island of La Gomera, (they played the challenge tour there last year) involves a ferry trip but Fred Olsen do some great packages.

i've been to tenerife and played a couple of rounds there. generally speaking green fees are on the expensive side (80 Euro+) and courses rather crowded. good news is that the courses are in good condition and well maintained. i have played buenavista which i thouroughly recommend. very scenic seve designed course, typical holiday resort golf. same goes for amarillo which is not that scenic but still in good all around condition and a pleasure to play. (January 2007)

I asked about this subject last year.
I went to Tenerife in Sept & Lanzarote in Nov.
I only wanted to play possibly 2 rounds during the week, so I thought maybe I could hire some clubs as I didn't think it was worth the hassle / extra cost of taking mine.

Trouble was, when I priced it up it worked out very expensive & I just didn't think it was worth the money.
1x round + taxi fare + club hire + buggy & you are looking at around = 100 Euros.
