Just about to order Sky TV - in terms of the sports package obviously the ability to watch golf is a big plus but am I a bit late to the party in terms of what's left to be shown this season? I'm a rugby fan as well do the Heineken cup is a plus but not a big fan of football so the premiership and all the programming that goes with it is wasted on me.

Full schedule can be found here http://www1.skysports.com/golf/schedule/

Also before you buy I would sign up to the following website www.quidco.com/ (if you haven't already) as you will get cashback on the purchase, varying on which package you go for. I have nothing to do with this website but I use it for insurance/phones & lots of other things as you get cashback for pretty much anything.

Obviously you've missed the Majors, & no Ryder cup this year. Still be a few smaller tournaments but some can be like watching paint dry.

Sky sports annoyed me a long time ago, i watch 1 footy match a month, maybe some rugby and a bit of golf.. sacked it off and watch online now.

Another thumbs up to quidco though! Just sorted my wifes car insurance, £169.44 for the year, but i get £80 cashback!!

PS. if you dont use quidco you should! i have got over £700 over 5 years for stuff i was buying online anyway!

(plus there is a refferal bonus, so anyone wanting to join, PM me your email!! ;) )

I just left SKY after umpteen years with them.

The golf coverage is good but the party is pretty much over, only a few stragglers left trying to look interesting and the complete stranger passed out on the coat bed:eek:

I used to cancel sports in winter then start again January for the main Tournament from Dubai, just to see some big names and some sunshine:(

Sky annoyed you because you didn't watch it. Hardly Sky's fault that is it?

Any idea if quidco is open to Rep. Of Ireland folk?

Quidco, generally, yes. Whether the sky deal applies is another matter. Another site to consider is topcashback - they can have different rates so it is good to pick and choose which you go with. It is easy to rack up a few hundred pounds back each year if you are thoughtful with your purchasing.

If you get Sky Sports for just the Golf then no it's a waste of money. I'm a sports fan and so get my moneys worth through the Cricket, Football, Golf and many other Sporting events. What would be worth it was if you could subscribe through the Sky platform to The Golf Channel.
