Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

sounds good Tom, just looked at their site and I'm not sure what it is exactly, I just want to have some flutters on the Masters but it seems to be question based, I might be getting this totally wrong. I'm happy to give it a bash though as I might like the idea. Thanks

Thanks for visiting!

Just to clarify, it is question based (Pool Betting). You bet against other people and depending on how close you are with your predictions you get points. At the end, whoever has the most points takes the cash.

It's something a bit more fun than the odds based stuff, but there's still a good bit of cash to be won.

Hope you enjoy it and best of luck!

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

I've just done mine

Only thing I missed and didn't know when it asked, and still don't, what is a "ripple" and why did I have to choose a question to mark a ripple against it?

Hi Fish, thanks for joining!

For every pool you enter you must play 1 ripple. This can be important as it will double the amount of points you get for that question, so play it on the question you feel most confident on.

Of course, if you think that many others have also played their ripples on the same selection, you could take a risk on playing it on a longer shot, hoping nobody else thinks of the same technique.

It's like playing a Joker in It's A Knockout. :D

Doubles your points for that question.

I've had a go, looks like fun.

I can't find details on the site of how Poolpit make their money though. I assume it's a % from the 'pool' but can anyone clarify?

Correct, 5% of the profits goes to the house. This is indicated in our 'rules' section.

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

5% ? Anychance you could takeover the running of the Tote from the bald one?

We don't mention the "T" word here!

We do however offer Horse Racing markets, however due to "Licensing Regulations" we are unable to offer UK markets, so we are restricted to daily racing from Ireland, and occasional South African meetings.

Fingers crossed one day we will be able to compete with the bald one.

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

Got to be the most random betting I've ever seen! So I'm in! £5 on each of the CL matches tonight. Free bet so why not!

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

Should you win  do you get informed by email or do you need to go back in and check??

You can log in and check your results in play and if you win you're account will be updated as soon as the market is settled.

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

Great idea, a refreshing way to bet online. Tenner straight in on the masters. Any plans for an android app?

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Thank you, welcome to Poolpit!

Glad to hear more positivity about our concept, we've been overwhelmed with complements about it and this has been reflected our customers loyalty.

As far as an Android App is concerned, in the future it is something we will certainly be looking do develop, but at the moment we have other priorities we need to focus on.

Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Golf Monthly Forum Poolpit offer

Not really sure what I have done, but spent a virtual tenner none the less! Will log in after the masters and see if I have won! Not even sure what I just bet on! Lol

Thanks for playing Rooter, the good thing about it is that bet will last for the whole tournament interest wise, and even if you don't get all them right you could still be in with a shot at some money. The tenner may have been virtual, but any winnings will be cold hard cash, although we may warm it and soften it for you if you'd like!
