Hi all

I'm really keen to get some feedback on the cover promotions/giveaways we ran in 2010 and what we have planned for 2011.

If you could spare me a couple of minutes to vote and if you have any comments/observations please post them below

I liked the golf calender in the jan issue, great way to plan my opens and forum days.Look forward to all the centenary goodies as they could be very rare in 99 years time

I really liked the St Andrews Strokesaver. A nice souvenir and something I'm going to hang on to.

For 2011, I like the sound of the Ultimate Putting Supplement. Mainly because I need all the help I can get with my putting.

stroke saver for me, having not played the course it was interesting to have it next to me when watching on the telly.
i was looking forward to the 'everbody gets a free fitting for a driver of their choice gift' to celebrate 100 years of GM.

I also like the Stroke Savers. Really useful when watching the TV coverage and as said, a nice souvenir. Looking forward to getting the St George's one.

I'm not a lover of supplements, or tip manuals, I prefer something useable TBH. I'd rather have a GM pencil, eraser, ball marker or tee's than a calendar any day.

I love the calendar and the instruction supplements (BTW any chance i can see an early copy of the putting guide now as mine is pants at the moment))
Interesting you did not asked what was the least useful. Not sure how much they cost to produce or if you have to give them out for advertising etc but the travel supplements are a waste of time if you ask me.
Not to be harsh but current economic climate, the amout of people offering to arrange your trips for you etc and there is enough info on the web etc.

Just my view point - anyone else agree ?

Another one for the Ultimate Putting Guide but I hope that is not just a review of current putters.

Something containing some histroy, science, styles, different grass types and putter types would be great. Really think that would be a winner.

Simple one but why not a pitch mark repairer coupled with a short article on how to use it properly. We all complain about it when they are not repaired so this would seem a logical and useful free gift. A plastic one would do but a brand sponsored metal one would be perfect.

Another vote for something practical (ball makers, tees etc), but the strokesavers are also genius gifts, great for watching the rounds on TV and a nice keepsake.

How about rushing out a Machrihanish Strokesaver for the next issue?

I'm due to play there in the middle of next month, and I think there may be a few other forum members heading there after me that would make good use of it - just a thought!

I am not that big a fan of the 2 fore 1 vouchers as I have always found the restrictions too tight most of the time (cannot use at weekends, must be part of a 4 ball, can only play after certain times that sort of thing).

The Sharpie marker was a good free gift and I am looking forward to the ball markers as I am always loosing mine in my bag somewhere and end up resorting to using a coin.

Yes, I'm also a vote for something usefull. Ballmarkers pitch repairers, tee's and maybe a full set of brand new pings sometime soon Mike.

Looking forward to the GM ballmarker
