Thinking of organising a wee day out at the golf lounge in Glasgow with a few mates.

Has anyone been and how did they find it?

If nothing else will be nice to enjoy a few beers whilst slicing the ballinto the water at sawgrass:lol:

I ve been , but it was a while ago. I thought it was on the expensive side drinks wise, we were on some sort of strong cider that was almost £5 a pint....

One of my mates asked them and told me hat apparently you can set it for something like 6ft and under equals 1 putt and anything over 6ft call it two putts. I believe the putting is pretty rubbish and it speeds up the game to set defaults.

we do it once a year- thats about all we can take especially on a cold winters night. It's ok and reasonable fun for about 2 hrs, then you have to do something else.

Dont putt, just set it for gimmes under 10 feet. Doubt you'll get 18 in in 2 hrs if a 4 ball.

As for drinks- it's Glasgow city center so expect city prices

Thanks for that. 10ft gimmes? if only, eh?

Ok, as I said it was a while ago I went and the clubs were not my cup of tea. They had Callaway irons and Nike woods and slingshot irons ... But I imag they would have changed those by now.

nope, still callaway clubs, grips are huge and sticky with beer I would imagine....or I seriously hope its just beer

If your only planning on going to play the simulator and have a few beers and not planning on raking round the town after it then there's one in the brae head arena, can't remember exactly now the prices for the golf, but they had pints of tennents for 2 quid when we were there last year.

We were there recently and I was reasonably sure it was closed, not 100% certain though.
