Thanks to Bucky who gave up some freebie tickets I went to Golf Live today

If your thinking of, or, are going tomorrow, I for one really enjoyed it.

The demo's were great with those taking part Monty, Michael Campbell, Woosie and many others sounding really into it and gave 1st class demo's

The most awesome display was by Joe Miller, the WOrld Long Driving champion - wow, what a display of power. He started with a wedge, hitting 225'ish into a breeze. Went through the 7 iron and 2 iron, until he got to the driver which he can hit 470+ yards (yes just the same as Timgolfy).

The shots were into the stiffish breeze but were massive! He rounded things off with some putting. He hit a standard Oddessy type putter about 250 yards - goodness what he would do with a broom handle putter!

There was loads to see and lots of interactive stuff and a good day out.

Looking forward to putting into play some of the tips I picked up tomorrow and then off to Wentworth Monday to see the Seve Pro am - not a bad weekend!

Ditto, went today and really enjoyed it.. I stupidly went for shorts and a polo, got there and realised it was pretty breezy!

Started with the 3 Hole Challenge (Darren Clarke, Pablo Larraxabal, Sophie Horn, Carly Booth, Joe Miller (long drive champ) and someone else - enjoyed that very much, sophie horn helped!

Mid Iron and Approach was next with David Howell and Retief Goosen, it was 160 yards playing 190 because of the wind, but they just effortlessly made great approach shots.
Then onto
Little Short Game Session with trick shot guy.
Followed by
Joe Miller @ the driving range
And Then
Darren Clarke and Pablo Larrazabal on Tee shots - really funny as there was a lot of banter between them.
And Finally
Montys Masterclasss great watch.

Only disappointment was the lack of "show deals" - normally shows offer discounts on products, but verything was to expensive for me!

Good day out though for £25.

Glad you enjoyed it Phil

Sophie Horn did it for me!!

Diane Dougherty was really good

Got the pee taken at golf this morning as I was as red as a Royal Mail van from the sun and wind yesterday

Off to Wentworth tomorrow to see the Seve Pro Am
