Golf lessons in Bury (or near by)

Not sure if I've posted in the right section but thought I'd ask.

I've recently moved in with the Mrs who lives in Bury. I'm in need of some lessons as I havent picked up a club for over 3 months! anyone on here no where the best place to go near here is?

As far as I know the American Golf driving range at the Trafford centre might be the nearest but It's not exactly down the road and I think Its £35 for a 30 minute lesson there!!!

I think there is a driving range near the M66/M60/M62 roundabout, not exactly sure where though.

Also plenty of local club pros will be happy to give lessons to non members.

Get yourself to Manchester golf club, they have a "gameplan A/Gameplan B" option which is half price on lessons and more,but it runs out soon. Me and birchy are doing it with Scott, who is spot on.

There is a driving range in Rossendale which is only 15 minutes from Bury. The pro there is a guy by the name of Mike Bardi. Very good teacher with good facilities.

Cheers guys. I saw another range as well, Bowlee park in Middleton.

Sent a few emails out this morning to various places so I'll wait and see what I get back.

Suppose it wont do any harm trying a few places and see which instructor works for me?

Fellow Bury-ite here - I've been to the Bowlee Park one you mention, but completely off-topic, i haven't had lessons there, just used the range (you really didn't need to know that, i guess!).

You could always drive into Bolton as well, only 15 mins up the road. Had previously heard good things about the pro at Chilli-Dip golf course near the Reebok too so may wanna check their website out or search 'chilli-dip' in the function on the forum.

And having played recently with Liverbirdie and Birchy, they're more than happy with their pro at Manchester and as you may one day find out, they're right Diva's , so he must be doing sommat right.

And despite being a Leeds fans, if you ever fancy a knock around my course (Stand), am more than happy to host so dont hesitate to pm.
