Golf lessons - hertfordshire

Evening gents!

i want to get back into the game following a 2 year hiatus when I spent every spare minute DIY renovating my house and thought it would be a good idea to take a few lessons to back back into the swing (pardon the pun!) of things.

can anyone recommend a decent pro in Hertfordshire please (the closer to St Albans the better).

Friends of mine currently use Bryan Lewis at gosling (wgc). They like him. He's pretty reasonably priced and does a group session Tues evenings for a fiver or so where he wanders along behind and makes sure that whatever you're working on is still good. Need to pay for the odd full lesson to keep getting invited though!

Depends which side of St Albans you live on as to whether it's convenient, I guess.

hes still going is he.? Used to be the pro over at panshanger. There are lots of courses in the st albans area who will probably have pros attached, no idea on the qulaity though.

I'm at brocket hall and most people there travel to see Matt belsham at Whitehills, including some of the pros and the elite / challenge tour attached pros.

Well worth it for the quality, he currently coaches Alex noren, Charlie hull and a few others

I'm also in the St Albans area and was looking into this the other day...

I'm a member at Harpenden Common GC and a few of the other members there have recommended Rob Leonard who is the head pro. I've had a couple of club fittings with Joel Saunders at Verulam GC and he seemed very good. Another option is Barney Puttick who is the teaching pro at Mid Herts Golf Club (Wheathampstead). I've never had lessons with him but he is in the Golf Monthly Top 25 coaches so you'd assume he's got a decent track record!

Agree on matt. Top guy. Also very reasonable considering his stable.

Only reason I didn't offer him up is the whitehills is quite a hike from St Albans. His diary can also be tricky to fit into at certain times of the year because of his success.

Maybe too far for you but the first degree academy at Moor Park is excellent.
