Just to counter act the "lost interest" thread im actually loving golf
more and more.
This year I joined the club I love playing at and now I get to play
with my dad more often.
I now take my 7 year old son down the golf course 3 times a week
and play 7 holes.
He has his own club membership that costs £10 as an add on to mine.
He loves it and he enjoys it immensely with no pressure.
He also does a group session on a Wednesday for £3.
Got some great golfing days coming up this year and more lined up.
My practice is going well and my games getting to where it should be.
So im not losing interest just loving it more and more.

I'll add to this thread. Actually in love with golf at the moment, can't play enough of the damn sport! Played in a Club Match yesterday, played to 1 under my handicap score wise, won the match 2up & I walked off after having one of my worst putting rounds but still made 4 birdies.

I'm part of a club that I am proud to be apart of, I have a great group that I play with and I look forward to every Wednesday and Saturday these days!

Great post Tony

I'm also really enjoying golf - the banter is flowing, playing well , playing some great courses , having some great rounds with the wife

All good for me

Despite a big reduction in playing due to these pesky exams, I've got to say that I'm still taken as well!

Not been to the course in a couple of weeks, 4 hours is a lot out of a revision day but an hour and a half at the range or the local par 3 course is still keeping me interested.

I am just happy that the ball is bouncing again and my divots have reduced to small sods rather than foot long bits of turf.

Winter doesn't agree with my swing. Starting to play well again.

Back up to 8 this morning but can't see that lasting too long tbh.

Love the post, that all sounds great.

I am on a year off from membership and it's killing me but I still love the game as much as ever.

My boy is 5 months (hence the time away) but I can't wait to see if he is going to take to the game and get three generations of Mclanes on the course at once.

Loving my golf as usual and playing reasonably too.
Bloom in' work just gets in the way of getting to the first tee....
Now the decentish weather is here I'm on our short course if I have a spare hour - 4 under for 9 today, only 2 shots off my best!

My golf maybe rubbish at the moment, but I'm enjoying the exercise and fresh air. The course is starting to look good and I read an email from the course today, saying they had been granted money from the sports council. So the golfing academy the club wants to build will now happen. Happy days.

I love playing, just don't get enough time to play as much as I'd like.
Once my son gets old enough to play properly we should get plenty of golf in.

Yep, really looking forward to the day when I can take my daughter out with me. I took her out to the 1st tee / 18th green of the Old Course when she was a week old, hoping some of the magic imprints itself on her. Stupid sentimental nonsense, I know, but you've got to start them young. ;) She's now got a set of those toy clubs you see and at 2 years 9 months has already sunk her first putt. I nearly cried.

Even when I play badly I come off the course smiling as there's always something good to take away from the round, whether it's from a social element with friends, meeting new people and fellowship, or just another memory of that single good shot I played in an otherwise bad round - there's always something to treasure.

I'm playing more golf than ever, club matches, weekly comps, society days, trip to Portugal and county opens, and loving it.

Not necessarily playing great all the time, but my daughter has just started lessons with our pro enabling me to practice short game once a week, so good times ahead I hope.

Amen to the OP.

Likewise, scoring awfully at the moment, prime example being up at Silloth on Sunday. Couldn't have cared less, I had an absolute ball with some super people.

Hating the scorecard, loving the game.

Absolutely loving the game and would play every day if I could. When I have an occasional good round, I'm on cloud 9 for a few days. When I have a bad round, I go away and practise or have a lesson and the optimism always returns. :)

Started again 2 years ago after a break of 20 years, back at my old club. Play 3 or 4 times a week, loving the competition and the exercise, currently off 10 and desperate to get to single figures. More importantly, I have met lots of top quality new people and rekindled my friendship with a few blokes I knew in the old days. Best decision I have made in a very long time.
