Hi Guys/Ladies

Long time lurker first time poster

I've noticed from reading previous posts, some of you not only play the game but are involved in various roles helping the running of your clubs, whether through committee positions or in other ways.

Our club is currently in the process of reviewing our IT systems with a view to having a more integrated system.

We have narrowed our search down, and have been looking into the following 3 options

Intelligent Golf
Club Systems Int (HDID)
MH Systems/Gemini

I wondered if any of you have any experience of operating these systems and how you found them, i.e. ease of use, support etc...

Any feedback would be much appreciated

We have changed from HDID to Intelligent Golf in the last few weeks. Much better from the members point of view as it is more inclusive of all systems. Bar account top ups can be done anywhere now and it helps in trying to make the club as cashless as possible, without going to extremes. So far so good, but as I said, really early days.

When we used Club 2000 I thought their software was a bit "Mickey Mouse" based around Access DB etc, not very robust and expensive together with some pretty silly hardware configurations.....this all may have changed as we moved from them to HandicapMaster a few years ago now.....cheaper and much better for our requirements (win-win). However, when we did use them I always found their support really good........but that said I rang them a lot. Have probably been on to HM 3/4 times in as many years. Can't comment on the others.

I installed MH systems software about 4 years ago but the support was very poor & promises of updating were not kept.
I have now moved to a club that has intelligent golf & it works very well.

I've been on Club2000 for quite a while now but only use the handicap system. Does what it says on the tin and am happy with the support. A number of the clubs around us have gone to Intellegent Golf and seem happy with it. Like most IT systems, check what you want to use it for and get the suppliers to come and give full demos.

Used club systems for the last two years - does what we need

About to upgrade to the new club systems - cloud based and able to use from home - looks good

My old club used HDID. From a user perspective it wasn't great. Adverts in the middle of the page made the layout very unfriendly. Used to grind to a hault at weekends too. Might have improved recently.

As a handicap secretary and a user of handicap master for the past 2-3 years I can honestly say that it's a joy to use.

The people there also are helpful and responsive.I've submitted suggestions for new features, enhancements, bugs, etc and they get dealt with and added.

Masterscoreboard is the web front end and again its fast and reliable. Theres a mobile version too.

I publish the results straight after the comp from the course. The info is live with the EGU CDH, HM, and master scoreboard immediately. Players can review this as soon as they get home.

It has everything you need, live leaderboard scoring, online tee time booking, cloud storage/backup, etc

They even donated a free society version that I used at the last HFH golf day.

You should at least evaluate it IMO.

Handicapmaster is our current system, so we are including that in our decision

Great responses guys, we are in the process of getting demos, but just wanted to get some impartial feedback from people who have been using the system, as I'm sure any flaws won't be pointed out at the demos
