Is it just me? When I'm driving well I am content with my golf game, even if I have not chipped or putted well.
Golf is good when you are driving well.

For me the game is good when the short game is good - driving well feels nice but wasted if you dont make use of it

Im with Phil, does my head in when im in the middle of the fairway with 150 left and end of taking another 4/5 shots through a stupid shot.

my long game is much weaker than my shot game. I can be wild off the tee. big hooks the main problem. I can get it around in a decent number but when the driving is off it becomes a real grind.

Id find that very frustrating .. think id rather my driving a bit off but scrambling and scoring well ..
Mind you im driving well at present so its easier to sat that right now..............
at my level there's always at least one aspect I'm battling.
Generally though better driver equals better round as I'm much better with short irons than woods from the fairway.
