Need some advice on whether I need golf insurance.
It's never crossed my mind as I know insurance is included with my club membership, but I assume I need it as I play a lot of golf elsewhere.

Should I take an annual insurance out somewhere do you recommend?

I wouldnt rely on any supposed liability cover with green fees/membership. That won't cover your clubs if they're stolen from a locked car or similar
To my mind, the fact my policy is twice the cost of a dozen balls is a no brainier.

Well worth getting insured , one of our members was sued for £10,000 by another member he hit with a wayward drive. Settled just before the court case, he had to pay £10,000, the club was also sued and settled out of court.
At a different club, where a player lost an eye after being hit , the award was massive , so be warned
