Who is best for insurance.

Have been with golfcare a while, had no issues but never claimed.

They are taking the mick on renewal so looking to shift, where should I look?

Watching this thread with interest, just renewed my worldwide travel insurance and asked Missis T to put golf club insurance on it. It bumped it up by an extra £50-60. Eh I might as well get golf cover seperate. Missis T says clubs are insured through house insurance if they get knicked from car/ garage / course. But am thinking of the other bits and bobs that come with seperate golf insurance

I'm with Golfcare, when my GPS was lost/pilfered they paid up immediately and really good service.
Having said that, I am of the impression now that cancelling and rejoining makes more and more sense with a lot of providers.

That's really good to hear.

Sadly I think you are right about canceling and re-joining. Must be doing a drive on figures of new polices.

You may want to check that there isn't a clause invalidating the insurance if you rejoin straight away. You wouldn't want to be making a claim only for them to point that out.

I believe it wouldn't matter that they took your money

I emailed them to cancel as the renewal was quoted at £31 or £34 (can not remember which), they emailed back a few days later and offered me a new price of £24.

I'm with golf shield - not claimed so can't comment on that. Wouldn't want to have my clubs damaged or stolen with no cover.

That's one thing I'm keeping an eye on too. If I'm paying out insurance I want to replace straight away not get some down grade value and still be out of pocket.

Just looking at renewing ours and thought I'd compare coverage.

This was from the first company I tried. "Yes, golf equipment is on a 'new for old' basis for items replaced within 12 months of purchase. Any golf equipment older than 12 months would be considered on an indemnity basis only"

Think I'm going to stick with Carrick Neil
