I am considering taking out golf insurance in case my clubs get stolen out of my car or in case I take someone's head off accidently on the course. Are these policies worth it and if so can anyone recomend a company that does this for a good price

has anyone ever actually had to make a claim?

my household insurance will cover my clubs in case they're pinched, and hole in one insurance/liability etc for the course - surely no need?

Missed GM in the post before I flew at the weekend, so bought Today`s Golfer at the airport to read on the plane. Someone writing in there on readers letters was lamenting his previous insurer (name not mentioned), but talking up GolfShield, and how well they`d handled his claim and resolved the 2700 quid claim in 5 working days.

Like nmartyn, my household insurance covers the clubs away from hope vis a vis theft. Just got to make sure I don`t hit anyone with a ball.
