So, who has it? As I've recently become a member with a Carl park in close proximity to the 18th I figured I best get covered! Having a look around and £30 for a year seems peanuts to me! Just curious if anybody has taken insurance with a well known company offering 3 free rounds at certain venues. If so, we're they buy one get one free or full green fee comps? Cheers.

I absolutely have it, as you say, for 30 quid it's a no brainer

The vouchers I got we're buy on get on free, still so,e good deals though, half price round for you and a partner effectively

Pretty much all clubs sell green fees at 50% online if you look around enough. So the vouchers are pretty pointless. Yeah, for 30 still worth it, was just comparing deals.

Vouchers I had were BOGOF, now changed to E&L at £2.24 a month direct debit now worth the risk of not having cover for a cup a coffee a month.

After I saw somebody hit on the head by a ball I made enquiries in the club house to find out if everybody was covered? When they advised that everybody should have cover, I bought a policy.

One thing to note, there are some good offers but beware on many policies the premiums increase significantly, (similar to motor insurance), if you stay with the same company. It pays to shop around when the policy is due to be renewed.

In sweden are you insuranced thru your yearly member fee. The club pays to the swedish golf assoicition. The assocition has then an insurance with a big company and all registred players is covered by that group insurance. The insurance is valid in Sweden and within Europe....(and world wide)

I have it, bonus it has hole in one cover !! I get a hole in one two weeks ago, the following day I think to myself I will claim back my bar bill as I am covered, first scan of the T&C's, hole in one cover only pays out if the hole in one is in a recognised club comp, so no claim, don't you just love insurance weasels (sorry companies). lets hope if I need the public liability there are no greasy get out clauses. ;)

I got insurance for £30 which came with a dozen taylormade superdeep balls, a free round at the Celtic Manor and St. Pierre, and 3 other rounds at random places and 8 free 2 for 1 green free vouchers so it's an absolute bargain!

I think it is a matter of the insurer needing official confirmation of the claim. A certified copy of a competition scorecard from the Secretary is usually demanded by insurers. There would be nothing to stop any Tom, Dick or Harry (that excludes you, of course) from just saying he had had a hole in one without any evidence.

I am covered with the golfers club, had to make a claim with the in march and it was the fast insurance claim i have ever heard of!

Although I'm fully covered with E&L for less than £1.50 p/month, our club also has us insured through our subscriptions, I don't think a lot of members realise it though, so ask yours if the club actually insures you also.
