For the first time ever I'm actually looking into insurance.

I've spent £800 on clubs that if I was to buy at full price from one source would cost me about £1200

I hadn't splashed out on expensive kit before and t.b.h. I worry more with a relatively new set in the car.

Must do it..

I had a massive rant.....Insurance is one of the 3 top topics to get my blood boiling....

I slagged off two companies (after reading the "details" on their websites) and generally had a moan about how patronising these companies are....

Insurance? Don't buy it. Just look after your equipment. Don't leave it lying around unattended, lock it up in your car and just check that your car insurance will cover you. Keep all receipts for equipment you buy in case of a claim.

Me too Cernunnos. My private account may carry an annual fee, but it gives free travel insurance for two, plus cover for loss of personal property inluding sporting goods etc. We only have to go on holiday twice a year to fully recover our fee.

Golf insurance also covers liability for personal injury. Hit someone and they sue you with no insurance...

For the £25 a year, which alos covers clubs etc, well worth it
