In July a number of my old friends from York are getting together to have proper send off for a great friend who died six weeks it would have been 30 years since he came to York in July, we are ending the day at York races and watching Tom Jones. In the morning a number of us who are golfers fancy playing a round, as we will be coming from all over the country we dont really know what on offer now as most of wont have played golf in York for nearly 25 years, I played Fulford last year so dont want to do that again. Other places we have played when we were teenagers are Pike Hills and I think a place near Escrick but cant remember what they were like, can anyone recommend somewhere not too hard, it will be a Friday. It needs to be quite local as we dont want to drive ! but will get taxis there
