:D :D :D

i go in layers and that seems to work for me...
thermals/underarmor...
long sleeve tee or turtleneck...
collared shirt/polo...
if its really cold then my next layer is a pullover sweatshirt...
then my pull over jacket...
nfl cap and beanie over cap...
thick socks...
i have winter gloves that i take off and put on my regular golf glove to hit shots

On the really cold days, thermals are the answer, you do not need many layers then. You may look a Pr!ck in the locker room when changing, but you'll be the warmest outside. Oh, btw, don't forget to take them off before you go to the bar, or you'll blow your thermostat!! :).

I just have a base layer, roll neck jumper, maybe a polo shirt and a jumper on in the coldest conditions as I prefer layers to any one bulky item. I hate using my waterproof jacket. Always make sure you keep the head and hands warm too.

I have to be honest and say that living in Berkshire it is only once or twice a year I need as much as that and can normally get away with a base layer and a couple of jumpers

I cold days I wear: -

Baselayer
Polo
windshirt
cords

on very cold days I wear: -

my fleece lined walking trousers
Baselayer
polo
lined jumper or wind jacket by callaway but its bulky.

For the first time this year I got myself some thermals so far I have never been cold.

I resisted buying them as I thought thet were for old men, then I realised I am an old man.

I don't like too many layers on my arms (how the hell do you swing a club with three/four layers on?) and I don't bother with baselayers until it's down to -C. I'll also add two pairs of socks.

I also don't like woolen jumpers but my proquip jacket is warm enough above that. If its windy as well I might put a tee shirt on first.

head, hands and feet - keep them warm and you won't go far wrong.
