Me and the wife fancy going to Belek in October for a week. (Silver wedding) Looked on the net and theres loads of courses attached to different hotels. Like estate agents I never trust travel agents.
Anyone got any advice on best courses and hotels?

Hi

I have been twice and love the courses out there, pretty much played them all.

Top 3 are The Pascha, The Sultan and The National. All are first class top quality courses.

After that check out Faldos course at Cornelia which is also very good. I also like the Pines course which was a great test.

Most of the hotels are great around the Belek area, all offering fully inclusive.

If you are looking for something a little extra special for the two of you, I would recommend the Gloria Serenity. The quality is the best in the area and very peaceful if you are looking for that sort of thing. It also has a golf course !! By our every day standards its a great course but there are better, as mentioned.

Have fun.

We played National, Tat, Carya and Nobilis and they were all fantastic. My advice is to book the golf before you go as it is very expensive when there. We tried to book an extra 9 holes on Tat and it was about £80 each. We didn't bother

Played the national for a cheap discounted price because my trukish uncle has a frind who works there.

Well done Mono :D Another thought provoking response.

Was that a recommendation for the course, your trukish uncle who got a discounted price, or his frind who works there?? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

(Or for the spell checker that you obviously don't use)

I went to Belek with my wife in May for the first time and enjoyed the weather and golf.
We stayed at the Cornelia Diamond hotel which was very nice, loads of pools, spa for the missus and 8 different restaurants to ensure variation, which is sometimes a negative at a lot of the resort type hotels.

The hotel was affiliated to Nick Faldo's Cornelia golf course which I played twice. I agree with the earlier post that booking in advance is a good idea, as to pay and play it was 90euros a round! The hotel had an early bird deal so I played at 7-30am both times and got it half price. It was worth the 45euros, but not 90.

The other course I played was Carya, which was amazing. It is only 18months old but felt like it had been there for years. Most of the courses in that area are built within forests, which give them a feeling that they are much older than they are.

The only other course I really wanted to play was Lykia Links, but it was a 90 euro taxi ride round trip and as a result I never got round to it.

Good luck with whatever you book, but try and find the courses you want to play and base yourself nearby.

Cheers,
Jim

Could anybody give me the name of a decent (cheap) company who organise trips to Turkey?
Planning on going next year (April/May time) and want to stay fully inclusive. There are likely to be 8 of us going.
Some of the lads stayed at a hotel there before called "Gloria" and raved about it, so looking for a bit of a deal to that one.
Thanks in advance
Rob

I and the missus stayed at the Seriene hotel - absolutely brilliant - lots of beer, good restaurants all inclusive - best holiday ever, we even met lots of nice people. HID does not play so on each day i played with other random tourists on the pascha and the sultan. Beautiful courses and had a fantastic time - would love to go back.

We went with a co called 3d golf, they looked after us well and there was no problems.

If you have the opportunity to go, do it. There are around 7 courses in the area if my memory serves me right.
