Booking tomorrow for five days in Northumberland with three other pals 16th - 20 th may 2016. Staying in Seahouses so the first day will be a walk straight over to Seahouses. It would not be top of a lot of people's courses but some of the holes are fantastic.
Looking to play three other courses and off the top of my Head Bamburgh and Goswick look faces but what other course would be worth playing.
1, Seahouses.
2, Bamburgh.
3, Goswick
4, ?

Any suggestions greatly appreciated .

If you buy a rival mag that rhymes with 'Bidays Molfer' this month then they have a section on Golf courses to play in Northumberland. ;)

Wise choices already, played Bamburgh last week and it was wonderful, beautiful part of the world. There's also Close House and/or Slaley Hall in the area that you could possibly pick up on the way down?

I was going to suggest we possibly play on the way back on the Friday, but was going to leave that open all us fossils are over 50 and four in four days may well kill us off.

Are you wanting more links or inland?

Dunstnanburgh is a good shout, as is Foxton. That would give you your five and they would be strong choices, no question

If you wanted another links then Newbiggin is well thought of.

If you want a parkland course to relieve the stress then I would suggest Linden Hall or Burgham. Both are close to the A1, in the vacinity of where you are playing. There are other courses obviously, but those mentioned all keep you in the same area.

If you have any questions about possible courses please just ask. I am sure between myself and others we will have played all of them and can help.

Linden is likely to be very claggy (muddy to you Southerners!) after the rain we've had & long walks between tee & green between some holes can be a bit tedious in the winner.

This week yes but Tashy is booking for end of May next year. Flowers will be out, everywhere will be green. Linden will be very nice at end of May. Best par 3's in the county.

Cheer boys. We are all playing tomorrow so I will put to them whether they want to play all coast courses or fancy going inland for one or so.
I have a feeling that because we are sixty miles from the coast they may want to play on the coast, but ave told them it's our road trip not mine. So they need to do a bit of research.
Looking forward to it.

I'll 3rd Dunstanburgh, one of the best I've played on this year. Played it a couple of weeks back and even in mid Oct , the course was bone dry, it is a links after all and the greens were superb.

On you way up to Seahouses, if you're not playing there on the same day you're travelling, give me a shout (or drop me a PM) and if you fancy we could have a game at my home course Whickham GC

I think what would be good would be a challenge match against four of us North East lads, to show you Southerners how the game should be played. Anyone up for this? I'm retired & can play any day, any time. Three volunteers?

Now then man in black. Sorry I didn't get back in touch sooner. Been playing with the boys today and I have only just seen your reply.
spoken to the Boys and they are deffo up for some northern hospitality.
we are up in the north east from 16th - 20th May next year. Mon and fri would be rushed so Tues to Thursday may be better.
All the best Tashyboy aka Andy.
