Golf in Brittany , Normandy.

Heading over for holiday soon and wondering any recommendations for some golf action there .:thup:

Also tips for accommodation greatly received

Do you know roughly where you will be?

Only two givens are St Malo and Angiers , rest of the time just winging it as our fancy takes us :thup:

In Brittany, try Brest Iroise about 20 miles west of Brest . Heathland type. Top course
Dinard - not long but cliff top views are superb.
St Malo- le Tronchet ,

In Normandy, the obvious ones are Le Touquet and Hardelot - Omaha Beach at Bayeux is good.

Further North, my favouite is Belle Dune. Marvellous course, but may be too far from your area.

Do you mean Angers? If so, Sable-Solesmes 25 to 30 miles north of Angers has three nines - good course

50 miles north of Nantes is Golf de la Bretesche - seen it but not played it and it is supposed to be superb.

Golf des Ormes is pretty close to St Malo and worth a visit further west try L'orient.

Three superb courses in southern Finistere, Brittany are Val Queven, Cournouaille and Plomeur L'Ocean. Th 2 former parkland (Cournouaille is an old establishedclub, Val Queven about 15 years old ) whilst Plomeur is a links, right on the sea.
