Just finished loading courses on the GPS for a tour of Belgium later this week. 24 of us playing Golf Hulencourt, La Tournette, Golf Empereur and then Golf D'Arras on the way back through France.

Clubs are clean, shoes to do tomorrow. Just got to get through two days of work whilst I'm so excited, then all I'm responsible for is keeping myself alive and hitting a small white ball for 4 days.

Excited - me? :) :D :p

Hope you have a great time.... :D :D :D

Be interesting to read your views on the courses you are playing. I played Golf D'Arras with a some mates of mine a few years ago and was really disappointed with it. In terrible condition compared to the other courses we played in France but we could have just caught it at a bad time.
Let us know how you get on.
;)

Hi
think we played some of these on a 'tour' a few years ago., Think L'Empereur was the most scenic and challenting (we got lost trying to find - check directions!)
Houlencourt notable for big rain storm followed by free drinks from mein host, an exiled Welshman!
We stayed at the Chateau du Lac - very pretty. If you are there try the Argetninian steak house for an amazing steak.
Have a great time!

I agree but take a look at the golf courses and splendid hotels in the Hainaut region. Mons is a thriving city with excellent nightlife and in Royal Golf Club du Hainaut you will discover one of the best golf courses in northern Europe.

There is other good golf around Mons notably Golf Mont Garni and the two excellent courses at Chateau de la Tournette (which is a bit of a drive from Mons but worth it). As yet it is a region relatively undiscovered by UK golfers and this is very strange because the region has excellent motorway links and is less than 2 hours from Calais. You are going to have a great time. I'm a real fan of Belgian golf

I lived in Brussels during my teenage years, so no problems with the geography food and beer from my perspective. SOme of the courses weren't there in thse days, and my focus was more beer girls and football, so I'm looking forward to the visit in many ways.

Will report back.
