Does anyone know of a online golf holiday operator that will actually give you the price online?

I've tried yourgolftravel etc and they just give you a estimated price and then a agent contacts you to give you the actual price.

I just want to go online, pick a location and date then be given the price online for the holiday.

I think its due to so many variables. Each golf club has a different way of charging and so do the hotels. It could probably be done but easier to sort out over an email or the phone.

Yourgolftravel will still have to then get in touch with the hotel and courses to make sure they are available for the dates you require.

If you want to be able to just book it and you're looking at a hotel with a golf course, then try their website direct.

Where are you looking to go to?

Abroad, Portugal/Spain/France etc.

Got around 6 of us that fancy a golfing holiday abroad at the end of the year but not sure where to go and it just seems a chew on having to get quotes etc rather than just booking it online like you would with a normal holiday.

TBH Im surprised that yourgolftravel don't have an instant booking system but I know as a small operator myself its very hard to have a standardised package that can be purchased online. Tee times are not always there, rooms are not always available and golf clubs are hard to work with. The vast majority of them don't think like a business so don't see the benefit in working with Tour Operators never mind having an integrated booking system.

I use Golfkings in glasgow, not an online price as such, but they do everything through email if you want, flights hotels, transfers and golf

I just went on golfbreaks told them what and when and they came back with a price. Everything else, paying etc was done using an online account.

I've used Golfbreaks couple of times and wouldn't recommend them. Both occasions they've created issues at the accommodation that I've had to resolve. They tell you anything to get you to buy and then conveniently forget about what they promised and their duty of customer care.

There's much better value for money available if you book flights yourself (which you need to do with Golfbreaks anyway), and organise your own accommodation and tee off times all of which can be done online.

That doesn't sound good at all. The whole point of a Tour Operator is to make things easier for the customer & save you money because of their discounted rates with hotels and golf clubs etc

Couple of my mates are looking at the moment, one of them contacted either golfbreaks or yourgolf and in the same afternoon/early evening he'd had 5 missed calls from them. All he'd done is ring for a price on one of the advertised places on the website for an estimated price and stupidly left his mobile number with them. That instantly put him off, too hard sell.

I have recently used YGT (tell 'em Darren sent ya) and had zero issues. Booked, paid and received my free gift with no issues. One more free gift to pick up when I get to the location!

I've booked a number of trips to Portugal through YGT and usually the price from the web is actually the price the confirm. I did notice it doesn't give you the same detail on your mobile though! I would definitely recommend them and remember you'll get a 50 pound discount if you quote your EGU membership number. One tip I would give with any company is to always confirm your tee times.
