I think the irons are in need of a make over. The grips are starting to split at the base and getting a little 'shiny'
Cant be doing with spending a whole heap on them, so had a look and found these
any good, or do you get what you pay for?

Going on the colour scheme they could have Man U badges on the other side, mate.

Avoid.;)

Gamola Golf is good value and if you go into the Clearance section where they have some good bargains.

Failing that, their Sharpro grips are good value.

I would avoid ebay because you can't be sure of the quality and it could be a false economy.

I got stung on e bay a couple years ago with fake golf pride grips, although fortunately the seller gave a full refund.

I use Gamola golf and would also recommend them.

Local golf shop reckon 1 in 3 grips sold on e bay are fake, such is the scale of the problem.

No doubt you will get what you pay for. They'll just be cheap knock-offs made in China. Personally, I'd recommend spending a bit more and getting something reputable. I've used Lamkin Crosslines and Golf Pride Tour Velvets, both of them are cracking quality, and you can get them on Gamola for £3.40 each.

Gamola Golf is very cheap, and they're renowned for it, so have became the go-to shop for grips. I've just re-gripped my irons with some Golf Pride Tour Velvets, and Gamola wanted £3.40 per grip. American Golf wanted £5.99, and I finally got them in-store at Direct Golf for £3.99 each. My local golf club wanted a whopping £7.50 per grip! How and why?

Probably includes fitting (even if you don't want it).

Wash them with a scouring pad and soapy water, super tacky for less than £2.00

Some TLC and a clean will help the current grips short term but avoid an offer that seems too good. Plenty of inferior imitations out there. I suggest Gamola. All the grips you could wish for and usually some good deals to be had

I just bought a couple of the Sharpro multi-compound grips for some new wedges that I have just acquired. They are meant to be standard size but feel too thin for me. Quality is just as good as the Golf Pride ones but they will probably need a couple of extra layers of tape to make them feel "normal size" if you are thinking of giving them a try.
