I bought this app for my 3G Iphone, it uses the phones GPS. It is also stats system all in one. Not just as good as SS2, but not bad.

First glance it looks pretty good - a bit americanised - but pretty good. The handicapping is USGA, and automated - pit crappy IMHO as there is no function to allow you to add your regular handicap - thus some stats may be messed up.

My course is not available but I marked out the greens when out yesterday and I got most marked +-4yds, some +-9.

Its easy to use and I only Paid £7.50, so not much to loose.

If you want a bash at the GPS but dont want to fork out hundreds try it -

Golfcard.

TBH I dont know, I only tried it over 12 holes and was marking the greens etc. No problem marking greens and entering stats - still a full bar but knowing the IPhone I would say it will be pretty heavy on the battery - however the GPS only operates when using the 'GS bit' I persume this is to save battery life.

I will geve it a blast next time and tell you.

Hi,
Would it be legal as you could find weather conditions on the phone.
Regards michael.

It is OK to use the GPS but it is not OK to use the other functions - just the same as the Motocaddy S3, you need a local rule in place to allow you top measure the distances - but you can turn off the weather information (temp)

In the end if you cheat you cheat and thats it, 'tis the great thing about this game you self regulate.
