I have been using a phone app for distances to the green, but it is rather fiddly to use as I have to remove my glove to operate the phone. In addition, the app doesn't work on some courses. I am considering a Bushnell NEO Ghost, as I don't want a watch and it is inexpensive. Has anyone used one of these? I will have to clip it to my bag or belt and I wonder if this might be an issue.

Bear in mind there is nothing stopping you getting a watch and then just strapping that onto the bag if its just the object on the wrist part you are worried about

For the price I would look at the skycaddie Aire last years model should be about the same as the ghost. I picked this years model up on ebay for just £100.

I use a Neo Ghost, great little bit of kit. Decided I did not need all of the bells and whistles on some devices so this ticked the boxes. Yardages to front, middle and back and 3 hazards per hole which is all I need. can be a little slow to pick up a satellite to start but then runs perfectly. Battery is good for up to 3 rounds as well. There are plenty that give the front/middle/back yardages in that price range but not many that give the extra of hazard yardages and carries as well.

Thank you for that. It is always good to hear from someone that is actually using one.
