Just wondered what is the most rounds of golf people have played in a week consecutively... we have tour coming up and I wanted a few warm ups so I will be playing 7 rounds in one week which is a PB.... I reckon I might hit the wall after 4.... most rounds played without a day off? And tips for not flaking out!

8 days in Portland Oregon- 24 hrs travel to get there then 1 round a day and 2 rounds 1 day, so 8 rounds of Golf.........as in America we had buggies so its no hardship at all

Dont expect to shoot the lights out!

Depending on the weather (if its hot where you are going), if you have buggies or not, how many rounds per day, late nights, alcohol, can all add up to make golf a very difficult game as the week draws on.

Some trips and we have just drank most of the night and then up early for golf. Others have been a bit more sensible.

We have done 36 every day over a week before.

Most of all, enjoy it whatever it brings!

We usually play 36 holes a day for three days in a row on our annual golf trip, best advice i can give is take plenty of fluids onboard (not alchohol) during the golf, have a few beers at night with your meal but avoid red meat as i lies in your stomach like a bomb next day if you eat late as we did (about 8.30pm). Oh and don't forget the deep heat rubs for your sore legs, enjoy.

Me and a mate used to play about 10 rounds a week on school holidays as kids. Always found scoring was like a bell curve - started shooting very good rounds/lowering handicap mid-week because we would get into a groove and get a feel for the course then start playing rubbish by the end of the week due to exhaustion/loss of interest.

As a kid 45 holes were the norm every day in the school holidays. Have done 36 for four consecutive days on holiday but if your not playing well or the weather is iffy it can be a grind. 18 per day over 5-7 days isn't too bad

Played 42 consecutive days during school holidays averaging 27 holes per day. Long time ago and then work and women came along to spoil it all.

5rounds (4 on Open Championship courses) in 4 days including 1300 miles of travel is my 'best'.

Have heard of a schools US/UK exchange scheme where they play 19 courses in 21 days - all of very high standard - Pinehurst, Baltusrol, Congressional, Pine Valley, Merion amongst them! The UK organiser shot a 61 (6 under SSS) on his home course a week or so after he returned!

Over8 days starting with Galgorm then the Ballyliffin weekend. Went 18,18,18,day off, 18, Lesson then 7 holes, 27, 18. The front muscle in my right leg is now killing me. I pulled it trying to climb into the bin to stamp it down on the one day I wasn't playing and it slipped. Tigerbam, ibuprofen, and deep freeze spray all helped. A good breakfast in the morning (hard to beat the fry) and plenty of fluids also played a major part.
