Hi all,

Let me quickly introduce myself, I am a Product Design graduate / recreational golfer. During my studies I came up with a driving range product I am hoping to take onto the market next year and I am positive it could be a great success in helping make golf more accessible to players around the world.

I can't go into great detail at this stage but the idea of the product is to rejuvenate the driving range making it increasingly helpful in skill development and more interesting to attend.

To apply for investment to get this off the ground I need to go to investors with a feasible business plan and proof there is a gap in the market for my product.

I have composed a questionnaire which comprises of 10 questions which will be evidence enough for me to take things forward.

The link to the questionnaire can be found here: http://questionpro.com/t/AKx9mZQzis

If you could take the time to quickly fill it out it would be greatly appreciated. You don't need to register and the results are completely anonymous.

Thank you in advance,
Tom

Thanks your for your help and well wishes everyone.

I am also keen on speaking to driving range owners regarding a separate questionnaire and their thoughts on the product.

I am not sure how many may look at this forum but if you do happen to please drop me and inbox message.

Thanks again.

Completed the survey but there is one thing that really irritates when i visit a range. As a travelling salesman up and down the UK i will put 3/4 clubs in the boot and often pop to the the nearest range whilst stopping at a hotel.

The object of my rant is the varying degrees of quality of mat that we are all to 'hit' off , the majority might as well be concrete , i know there are the rubber tees but i personally try to hit all my clubs off the mat except naturally the driver.

I was at my local range a couple of weeks ago and after about 50 / 60 balls i required a rest so with the range being fairly quiet i decided to have a look at the teaching booth , the mat was like Augusta , i threw a couple of balls down whoosh - straight as an arrow , so i got a few more balls and it was like being in another world.

I suspect ranges are not paved with gold but a little thought and a bit of posh carpet would do wonders for all our confidence.
