just wondering if anyone else golf club does this at all?

popped in to the club to book tee time tomorrow and they gave me and me a old man a diary each. Saying all the years comps on what they are and what times they are running from for tee times. Also has a personal handicap tracker to note down how your going etc...

Never been given anything like this before at my old club think it just boils down to this is a better ran and club.

Quite handy diary really and saves me buying one to rememebr appoointments and stuff.

My club abandoned diaries this year and after an uproar from members had to produce a booklet with all the matches and members contact details in. It would have been cheaper to have kept the diaries!

Yes, My Club, And my Previous club too, both have Diaries Printed and handed out, with all the Competition dates for the year, as well as dates for Presentation Nights, etc......
My current club, in the diary, also details the Format for each Named Competition, local rules, dress code, and also Planned Course Maintenance Days

Very Handy
I just presumed all Clubs did.......??

just seen on back pages its got the dates of the olympic events haha. gutted to see on my wedding day is a Qualifying medal starting 50mins before ceremony and also the relay is on for the olympics. hmmm might have to split my time a bit that day

We have one handed out on payment of subs and have had that at previous clubs as well. Personally I wish there was a way of getting this info out digitally to my outlook diary or phone diary but that would be expecting too much I suspect.

We have 'member's handbook and rules', which includes all the members and their phone numbers, and the diary for the year. Website has a more up to date diary, as society dates, booked tees, are being added all the time. Has a few adverts in the handbook which no doubt help cover the costs.

My old club did a diary with all the fixtures and members contact details in it . Although i stopped my membership , i still receive notifications, and got an e-mail recently to say that the diary suppliers who supply diaries to many clubs have gone into liquidation , and there will be no diaries until another supplier is found . Perhaps this will affect some other members on here ?

My club puts all the fixtures on to Google calendar, you can then subscribe to the calendar & all the fixtures then automatically synch to my computer & phone.
I also subscribe to the clubs newsletter & club updates, these then automatically come through via e-mail to my PC & phone.

It works really well & I always know well in advance of stuff that is going on.
