I have been invited on a short golf trip and the location is unknown. the only thing i have to go one is a picture. would anyone happen to know what course this is?IMG_20260420_215317.jpg

Looks like an AI generated image to me (I work in the field of AI and even I can't be sure). But hey, sounds like fun, not knowing the destination..

We will be leaving from Charleston, WV and i am assuming its not more than a 5.5 hours drive.
Our golf pro just said to mark the dates and you will know where we are going when we get there...LOL
i also assume its either a course where they have held some sort of professional events or an exclusive private course.

If I’m driving over 5 hours, I sure as hell want to know what is at the other end 😂

Well it’s certainly in the US

Google has it as Southern Hills in Florida
I asked ChatGPT...

"I can’t identify this course with confidence from the image alone. It appears to be a tree-lined parkland course with residential homes bordering the hole, multiple fairway bunkers on the right, and a large solitary tree near a tee/green complex — a layout style common at many upscale U.S. suburban courses.
My best guess is that it could be a southeastern U.S. course (Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee, or Virginia) because of the rolling terrain, pine mix, and housing style, but I can’t reliably name the exact course from this single frame."

well if i don't find out before, i sure will when i get there...LOL and then ill post the location.

it would be nice to find out so we can send something to the course with my name on it like they we expecting me...LOL

this group we play with do things like this all the time...

I would not be stumping up cash for an unknown destination, sod that.
When my uncle was younger, in the 60's/70's him and his two work mates (they ran a building firm) used to do a thing where one of them (they took it in turns) would organise a trip abroad (not golf) somewhere.

The only instruction was to turn up at the airport with your passport and your toothbrush....only then would you be given your tickets and find out where you were going....and they went to some weird and wonderful places long before they appeared on any sort of "tourist map".

It all stopped when one of the other guys wives threatened divorce, as she was fed up with never knowing where her husband was!!!

That’s absolutely class. Our group of pals (16 of us) for 4 straight years 2002-2006, would all make sure we had the same week at work booked off in June go to the travel agents on the Friday of the week before and see what last minute booking we could get to fly out that weekend for 7 days.

We did Tenerife, Rhodes, Bulgaria and Crete. Was a great time but inevitably we had to grow up, but having no idea where we were going until a day before was part of the fun.

unless he lets it slip, the date of the trip is Sept 8, 9, & 10th.

I've been searching online but haven't had any success.
Have you all paid in advance?
Can see him doing an Arthur Fowler (for the old guys)
Look forward to finding out where it is
