From time to time i have read of incidents of Fellow Golfers being shot at with air rifles ,clubs being stolen from them whilst playing and stolen cars ending up on the green burnt out!!!.
And i myself have seen numerous Youngsters congregating on the course for there weekend ritual even

Would just like to know your thoughts and experiences if any at all .

Me & my son got a load of aggro from a group of 4 young girls last night, the eldest cant have been more than 8 and the youngest was about 3 or 4 tops!!!

We were finishing the 16th when they appeared from some trees armed with a load of daffodils and proceeded to walk across the fairway as i lined up my approach (my approach was a corker by the way lol), anyway is houted at them to move and they toddled off in the direction of the 17th tee.

Me and my son get to the green and here they are pulling the tee markers out of the ground and chucking them about, so again i shout and these young girls proceed to tell me to f*** **f etc etc

They then follow us down the 17th & 18th, running after our balls and stuff, swearing, spitting, nicking the flags from the 17th green and the 1st green in the process and generally being little b******s, their parents must be so proud!

My brother had is car nicked whilst on a golf away day a few years ago.

No problems at my course, everything requires a coded entry from the gate to the clubhouse to the trolley store and the membership is small enough to recognise strangers loitering. Also, there really is nothing around our course and no nearby towns so do not get gangs of kids etc.

Never had any real problems on courses. There have been the occasional dog walker who insist on walking right across the course from the river to the allotments instead of walking around the edge of the course. Often with no regard to the golfer trying to tee off.

There is always one hole on one course I play where the flag will disapear & local kids may have run through bunkers & sratch inapropriate words in bunkers with the stolen flag, though not seen anything like that happen for ages.

If that's the worst that happens then I think I can put up with it. Never seen any really bad vandalism or thefts. If I were to experience anything like the Beiruit of a course the OP visits, then I wouldn't be visiting it any longer.

Where do you play ? ..... Beirut ?

:D :D :DYou stole my thunder..... :D

Crikey, you must live in a real dodgy place to have seen or even heard of all those things happening, Im not playing your place :D

We have dog walkers out and about on our course but the only trouble we have is that some local people(i not saying kids might not be)are stealing all the rakes out of the bunkers

So now you can collect one from the clubhouse and take it round with you

I have seen a burn out motorbike and kids joyriding across Brackley golf course, little 9 holer Salford way

My club is pretty good. We did have a break in a year or so ago and some lockers got done and the clubs knicked (pro shop also got ram raided) but they have now beefed security up. We have gated entry (you can get in but need a password or a token to get out) and we never have public anywhere on the course

Our Pro shop got ram-raided a year ago and loads of Snake Eyes clubs got taken. They broke down the gate (wood) and then drove into the front door.

They've put a metal gate up now but if you want to get into the grounds its very easy.

Had some cars broken itno a few years back but that seems to have died down.

Playing down the 3rd at our club about 4 weeks ago and there were about 5-6 kids on the green as we were about to play, so what happens they steal the flag and stamp a boot mark into the green around the hole. Me and my mate give chase as we are quite quick on our feet did not catch the little F...ers but did collect 4 of their bikes which they were not best pleased with, and told them if they wanted to have them back then they will be in pro shop and told them to tell their parents to bring their cheque books when they collect them. No bikes in the shop anymore and green repaired.

I was playing a one of the local courses yesterday late afternoon, the 13th tee is adjacent to a wooded lane, as I started my swing some d***head yelled "fore" out of the window of a car that was crawling past. I nonchalantly gave him the universal single finger greeting while watching my ball sail right.....seemed to upset the tetchy yoof though as he leaned out the window and yelled a series of expletives....I didn't hear quite what he said as he ran over a tree stump that apparently snapped the steering arm judging by the angle his wheel was pointing lol

Now who says there isn't a (golf) God?!?!?

because there is accommodation adjacent to the course (for the conference/training centre) we get the odd idiot who, despite the signs, persists in going for a walk 'in the park'.

we seem to attract one annual visitor who insists on running round the course the wrong way and gets really bitchy when you try to point out how stupid/dangerous it is.

can't get 'the management' to take an interest.
