Potentially going down to Golf Studio in Surbiton for a 'MOT' this weekend. I know the Pro (Laurence), so I think it will be alright. I am assuming MOT will look at Lie, Loft and Grip. Clubs are off the shelf, nearly 3 yr old and have never been assessed, anything else that I need to check?

Anyone else done their MOT, any better/worse after it? I will leave the wallet in the car, lest I am tempted to try some new shineys (though my SW looks a bit battered).

Depends on what he's checking them against. Against the manufacturers spec? Against your swing? Against your ideal distance gapping?

I should think he'll be fine and won't push you unnecessarily into anything you don't need. If you go for the gap testing let me know how it was

HJS.. what is gap testing??
I think my wedges are not properly gapped.. I play
PW: Standard Burner2.0 PW, I think it is somewhere between 45-48
GW: TM xFT 52
SW: Vokey 56
LW: Vokey 60

Though only 2 years old, the SW is starting to show its age and I guess the grooves are not the cleanest - just tells you where I spend most of my time. I would like to know the gap between PW-GW-SW

Laurence is a top guy! Very approachable and certainly doesn't push anything you dont need.

I keep meaning to post my review, been a manic week so nearly finished, but will make sure its done before the end of the bank holiday.
