Does you club have a Facebook page and do you use it ? .

I only signed up last night in an attempt to find a replacement 4th man for our T/scram on Friday.

Bingo within a few hours we have a full team.:whoo:

Sadly the 4cast is crap

Official club fb pages are a recipe for disaster.

Agree and be a bottom licker and the world is rosy, post the slightest disagreement or criticism and they hate it.

Oh...... 😎😙

Agreed, we did have a problem with our last page because of people arguing, moaning and getting nasty. This time around hopefully it will be better, to join you must be a member and register.
The page is now monitored just like on here by MODs and any type of abuse then you're ooot.

I think it's a great opportunity to arrange ties /games , especially for new members looking to join sweeps/ rollups or just for the odd game.

not an official page but recently been an information group set up where everyone can post, tee time sheets get posted and a fair dose of ribbing goes on, seems to be working

Errr, actually I'm coming from the other point of view.

What I'm saying is that it's a recipe for disaster for people who wish to express views and opinions that the "powers that be" can't handle. Say the "wrong thing" and, as you say, you're "oot" because someone with Internet admin powers can't handle what you're saying.

Agreed , but a separate page just for arranging games ETC is a good thing.
I wasn't involved in our previous F/B page but it ended up a disaster, slagging matches, and seemingly it got very personal.
Start a page for complaints yourself and send the replies to the club , or bring it up at the AGM.

Yes, mainly used by the pro shop to advertise.

The greenkeepers have a Twitter page to show the work they do round the course, that's really good.

Yep, I am liking it. Long may it continue to be very low key and a bit of fun.
