Golf Club Facebook Pages

HCR, i dont one recently but due to the average age of our swindle members being high, it didnt get much traffic on there so i was asked to remove it.

For the main profile image I used the traditional corperate logo, had nice image galleries, I updated it every week with comp results or swindle results from the weekend and generally tried to get chats going on there, but it failed badly

A face book page will only work with traffic, no traffic or imput will make it pointless. We hoped it would be used to arrange games, especially knock out matches etc but it never worked. Its a shame as the pro shop could have got involved with a weekly offer, course condition up dates and so on.....

I suggested my club set up a Twitter feed with the idea being they could send out quick information on state of course (closed, open etc) or other info. Alas, for the same reason that most of the club members don't use it, apart from the introductory tweet, it's never been used.

Although to be fair, the Manager is quite good at sending out emails with course info.

I created one when I did the website, general thought was it opens up places and people you might not want juniors going or interacting with for parents sake, so we close it and added more things to the members area page.
