Hey Forum...... HiD's bought me one of these as a surprise for Christmas.......

Anyone have one or have experience with one?
Are they any good?

If it's anything like as reliable as the Golf Buddy Tour that I've had for 4 or 5 years then it shoulld be great. :thup:

Yep, I've got a GB Tour. Easy to use and pretty accurate - has helped me speed up in terms of club selection.

I find it a little flaky updating the courses but I have a Mac and I think the support for that platform is a little over looked.

Golf Buddy IMO are very underrated compared to the Garmins and Sky Caddies

Had a Golf Buddy Tour for 3 years now and it's simple but superb

My wife has a GB World Platinum and it works well. Battery life is good - she easily gets three rounds out of a charge (whereas my Garmin S1 watch needs charging after every round). The coverage of hazards seems a bit variable - some courses have them all mapped, on others they are not. Another downside I've noticed is that the screen can be difficult to read in bright sunlight. (Not that I've heard my wife complain about it).

This got the Gold Award in a mag I am reading, thinking about getting it myself. The display looks really good too.

Mine worked well for a couple of years then started to freeze. It is now not working. Does anyone know how to reset and or reboot the unit?
