golf book ive been recommended

the old boy I beat yesterday 7 n 6 mentioned this book. infact he knows the boy that wrote it. im for getting it but thought would share with you lot.
its called A Major Obsession One Fan Four Golf Championships by Kenny Reid.

Book Review - A Major Obsession

All of us golfers focus our viewing attentions more than other events on the four majors. It is of course the same for players and officials.

And in 2009, Kenny Reid decided to fulfill a long-standing ambition and attend all four days of all four major championships.

This is his story and he is not one of those fans who will simply sit in one place to watch all the players come through, or do what the media do and sit in the press centre watching the TV updates and eating and drinking themselves silly (sorry GM writers but I've been there and I know you do!)

From the glorious splendour of the Masters, to the monsoon conditions at Bethpage Black, from the West Coast of Scotland and the Open, to the PGA at Hazeltine, Reid really takes you there amongst the huge crowds with his own unique viewpoint on how he saw events unfold.

And his style is very funny too. Ian Poulter if you remember, turned out for the first day of the Open in tartan trousers and a pretty hideous top. So Reid brilliantly describes it as "a box of Scottish shortbread about to be buried with full military honours".

This is one of those books that you can read, and then come back to in future years when you are watching other Major championships to remind you of 2009 when four of the most unlikely winners took the spoils.

So for Messrs Cabrera, Glover, Cink and Yang, add the name Reid too because he has reached those standards with this excellent book.
