I suspect that one ball's much the same as the next and it's really all about which ball you're happy with and in that regard I've been happily playing Srixon balls for the last 18 months then the other days someone told me that they are made by Wilson. That threw me as I don't rate Wilson. Bye the by I checked on line and the history of Srixon on their website appears to confirm that not only do Srixon make Srixon, they have at least at one time made other balls (Maxfli). I have always suspected that a lot of balls (Nike in particular) are made by somonme else and re-named/branded. So who makes who/what?

really strange you dont rate the wilsons, i found a dx2 supersoft and loved it although it did cut up easy as im agressive with a wedge, a friend found one on sunday in our society who is a callie addict and snubbed it slightly. I convinced him to try it and he brough a dozen of them monday.

i used the nike soft a few years back so when i was needing balls last week i bought them again as they were doing boxe of 24 instead 12 but it feels like a totaly different ball this time maybe i should have bought a sleeve to try instead of jumping in and getting dozens :D :p

I am sure they're fine. I just like my stuff made by people who are in the business of making golf stuff not doing every sport and not just buying it in and re-branding it. That's why I wouldn't touch Nike in particular as they don't manufacture anything they just buy it in re-brand it and charge twice the price for it.

I think you will find Cally bought Top flight (Spalding), so really, Top flight make Cally. Explains why they are rocks.

Sorry to go a bit astray but I found the new Topflights to be nice and soft - where as the Cally balls are horrid rocks. TBH I would play a modern topflight before any of the Cally lineup.

Who cares if Wilson Staff buy them from another manufacturer and know nothing about balls. They are good balls for the money. Not that I really want to stick up for Wilson, but I don't see why it should matter if Wilson "make" basket balls and tennis stuff and buy all their golf kit from third parties.....in the case of balls, it might be a good thing.....let someone else do the R&D, get them to produce millions and sell them for far less than premium brands.

Besides, I hit and stopped on 9 greens today with a Dx3 ball (for a 77). Better than being through the back with distance ball.
