The other two current threads on balls got me thinking so I decided to sort out the pick-up's that I have, mainly from my course.

Here's the picture with from L to R:
Rows 1&2 Pro-V1's
3&4: Pro-V1x
5: various Titleists
6&7: Taylor Made
8: Srixon
9: Nike
10: Wilson
11: Callaway
12: Bridgestone

I also have around 15 Srixon's and a dozen or so mixed TM, Bridgestones & Titleists in my bag

Should have added that the old tatties, Top Flytes etc not included.

Suppose it proves (locally anyway) that Titleist is the no.1 ball with Srixon @ 2 and TM at number 3

So not to start a new thread, do you use your pick ups or are they practise only or any superstitions.
I will use pick ups, but not during the round I find them as it's bad luck😃 lol, a PP puts them in a seperate pocket on his bag so they don't "influence" the ones he bought.
Both daft, but you never know

I'm not superstitious touch wood. All the balls in the pic have no marks, some of them look like they must have only been hit once or twice.

The rest go in the practice bag along with the distance balls, Top Flites, Dunlops etc.

No science in the ball I use although I have mainly Srixon's (mainly AD333 and Soft Feels with the odd Z-Star) in bag just now to see if it helps/makes a difference

I have one practice bag of premium balls (mostly Pro V) which I use specifically for short game practice as these are what I use on the course. Other than that any old ball goes in the practice bag to be hit. Any I manage to keep for several rounds usually to up the short game bag. To be honest I have more practice balls than I know what to do with so anything half decent tends to go in the box for juniors.

you must have different juniors than ours, thousand of pounds of kit,the latest clothes and a bag full of pro v balls, new ball every game, even knoe one who changes his ball every 4th hole.

Indeed, it's been a while since most Juniors have accepted anything but top quality balls! It's more likely their parents that will accept them these days!

This is my pick-up storage mostly my courses as well. Left is premiums, middle is mid range balls and right are the distance balls.

By brand then Titleist dominates the premiums. Srixon dominates the mid range and thanks to a recent offer in Sports Direct Srixon Distance make up a high percentage of the distance balls.

I don't know whether I don't spend much time in the clag or I'm not very good at looking but I don't find that many. I certainly don't go out of my way to look like some do. Of the few I do find, the top flites etc stay where they were found, the others go in the practice bag.

Funny incident on Sat , following a Club match helping look for a ball in the long stuff one of the guys (4H'capper) found a pinnacle , we reckoned its probably the 19th time its been found & thrown back ha, its still there waiting on 20th time now

Played at the weekend and some guy was looking for his ball in the rough and going around picking up ones that weren't his. Problem is he was picking balls up that could quite easily have been someone's actual ball as the next hole ran back parallel with where he was looking.

I saw him bend down and pick up a (which I thought was my) ball. When I asked him what ball he had just picked up and if it was mine, he asked what I was playing and took over 6 balls out of his pockets. Turned out it wasn't mine and I found it a bit further on, but I really don't understand the sense of some people that feel the need to pick up balls that may be still in play!
