Who, like me has a non playing partner?

How do you plan your holidays around this?

Would anyone be interested in starting an online society type thing where short breaks or one off days on special courses were the objective when you find yourself with no one else available
I have a few friends that I play with but all work different shifts and I find myself wanting to go and play somewhere special or a weekend away and none are able to get time off. I'm not talking about a weekly thing but occassional breaks throughout the year.

You could try the Ashbury Hotel and Manor House at Okehampton in Devon. It has a golf centre (Ashbury) for you and the Manor House offers a wide range of leisure activities for your other half (spa, sauna, arts & crafts etc).

My advice is to book a room in Maddeford (the golf centre) as the Manor House attracts families and therefore gets a bit noisy at mealtimes. There is a regular mini bus service between the two sites so you can play golf in the morning and then meet the other half at lunch and go off and enjoy the joys of Devon etc. Best of both worlds

I wasn't meaning to take HID, I was merely seeking opinion on a "lads" away day or short break, with others in a similar situation.

Christ she would kill me if I saddled her off with some stranger whilst I played golf
