Looking to play abroad at some point next year, probably in May for around 5 days.

Looking at Spain or Portugal.

Can anyone recommend any courses?

When is the best time to book it?

and who to use to book the package.

You could do worse than Montecastillo in Spain, a few miles outside Jerez.
Unfortunately you can't tee off until 11.00am if your walking .................. they like you to take buggies.
It's a magnificent course though.
Go all-inclusive, cheap as chips, as it's a bit remote!

If you go to Portugal. Check out YGT, they have a cracking deal for the amendoeria golf complex. We went in may and paid £199 per person, for 3 nights, unlimited golf with buggies with the choice of 2 championship courses and you stay in beautiful apartments.

Value for money it's the best golf you can get. 30 mins from vilamoura and 15 mins from albufiera, for your night time antics.

+1 to La Manga, havn't played there for a few years now but really enjoyed it last time I was there

also like La Manga.great courses but if you like the local cuisine etc can need a car to move around.

check out the Lisbon area of Portugal.flight straight into the city, some brilliant courses within 40 mins of city centre and a fantastic climate. 2 hours from UK, no time change and some brilliant deals on offer. check out Orizonte lisbon golf:thup:
