Met up with ColchesterFC last Wednesday with my mate Terry and played what can only be described as a relaxed, friendly and thoroughly enjoyable round of golf at Dunston Hall.
After the round we met with mine and Terry's wives and had a chat and drink outside the clubhouse. We all had a good laugh, it was as if we'd known Neil already.

We then told the girls the scores. Neil came in with a very credible 41 points, Terry with 33 and myself with 30.
Then all of a sudden, Terry's Wife presented us with gold, silver and bronze medals. It was a great way to end the day with a bit of light hearted fun!

Here we are showing off our medals, and there's no mistaking Neil, (ColchesterFC) resplendent in his oh so colourful trousers!!

I thought it was very good, especially for a resort course.

Greens were ok although a tad slow at times. Fairly tight course in places with plenty of variety and some testing drives!

The stand out hole for me was the 547yd par 5 15th off the yellows. Elevated tee, long long wide sweeping fairway rising up to the tricky green.
Even though I messed up my tee shot on both rounds!
The only disappointment was the last, a par 3, not too keen on a short finishing hole.

Hope you enjoy!

Nice medals!

(Does Terry's wife want a job on our committee, they're better than anything I've seen given out at our place for the monthly medal.)

Many thanks for the invite to come down for the round Chris and to you and Terry for the great company during the round and your wives for the medal afterwards. Can only apologise for the three members bounces I got off the trees and back onto the fairway. Most unlike me to not have a single 3 putt in a round as well. I'll let you tell them about your drive on the 7th that was heading into the deep rough until it hit the 150 yard marker and ended up right in the middle of the fairway.

EDIT - I only wore the trousers so that they would be able to recognise me when I turned up having never met before. Honest!

And I promised Chris and Terry I'd post this photo of my washing line on laundry day.........
