I bought one of these re-con gokarts and it turned up today.

It was sent from go-karts head-office so I imagine the ebay seller is infact gokart who are selling these through ebay.

Well pleased as at £140 inc postage, it was ace.

The guy doesnt have any more for sale at the moment.

In very nice condition, boxed and all that, all the bits and with a 12 month warranty so Im proper chuffed.

Has it got the "knobbly" wheels Jon, or the plain treaded ones?
If it hasn't got the "knobblies" you can get them from GoKart for the cost of postage (£8.00) together with the front wheel modification to stop it clogging up (although I haven't suffered that particular problem)...
As well as giving better grip, I think the knobbly wheels look better too.

In a previous thread, as Homer mentioned, GoKart said that these were loan trolleys that they had reconditioned themselves. They also said that they sell reconditoned trolleys, but they don't advertise the fact on their website, you have to phone them to see what's availiable at the time.

As the mail from Go-Kart said they are loaned out trolleys and are sent back to themselves for reconditioning and updating, so I suspect they just send them directly out as Go-Kart resell their own used trolleys for £150. Me, I'd prefer a new one with a two year warranty and new black colour instead of the gray.

Just make sure that when you use it you push both sides of the battery holder down until you actually hear the "click"...
I made this mistake the first couple of times I used it, and it buggers up the connections....power keeps cutting in and out. As I say, you will hear a definite "click" when the battery is fully home.

with all the interest the price will probably be going up

I looked at their blog by chance this morning, posted on thursday.... glad I ordered mine yesterday, anyone else thinking of one for the new season has a month to save a few pennies :)

We’ve held on as long as possible, but we have to increase the price of a GoKart. From March 1st 2009, the GoKart with standard battery will be £219, plus £15 for UK mainland delivery. With the 36 hole battery, the price will be £249, plus delivery.

We thought that a bit of advance notice would be kind!
We launched in 2007 and, from the very beginning, owners have enthused about GoKart. They love the way it folds, how it performs on the course and the way they don’t have to fiddle around with connecting batteries. The new two year warranty just introduced reflects how happy we are with the way it’s working. We’ve won a handful of design awards (click here, here and here), but most importantly more and more golfers are trying GoKarts and loving them. We’re really excited to be going into the 2009 season!

But we have to keep an eye on the figures, and our decision to make the GoKart ourselves, rather than get it made outside the UK, does put the pressure on costs. We’ve already cut out the middle man by selling direct, rather than through golf shops, but still our margin has become very thin. We believe that, even at the higher prices, the GoKart is good value, and hope you will agree. We’re determined to maintain the high standards of design, manufacture and service that we’ve established so far, but we have get the numbers to add up, and as raw material prices continue to rise due to the weak pound, something has to give.
