I played with a fella on Sunday who had one - he was an engineer and he was pleased with it. I personally think they look fantastic and from a previous comment on this board their support is very good. The owner had an 18 hole battery - which made it round our quite hilly course no problem.

The battery just slides into place - no leads or connectors. The trolly folds small and tidily.

The only draw backs are the motor is not totally silent - but it was very quiet (my pull cart made more noise)
There is no soft start - the motor starts when you roll the button - I personally dont like a soft start but this owner felt it was a drawback.

From what I understand they where the owners of Hillbilly - then they sold the company, after w while they say a gap in the market for a £200 trolly which they have filled.

Got to admit, one of these puppies is on my 40th birthday list, despite the ribbing I would expect from my playing partners. But my back just can't handle the pull trolley around the steep parts of my course.

BTW, is an electric trolley allowable for a 40 year old?

I can speak from personal experience as has been one in my house for over a year now. Using one is simple, folds out and battery clicks in place in seconds. Has had no trouble in any conditions and the 18 hole battery has been good for 27 holes. As a nice extra touch it also came loaded with tees and Titleist balls.
Customer service is second to none. Will take the trolley back if you do not like it and if there is a problem then they pick yours up, give you a loaner then drop back when fixed. As an example of the lengths they go to, they have recently picked mine up, upgraded it with all the new bits since last year, including a new motor, and brought it back at no cost to me.
If you have any queries, just email Sandy at GoKart, she is great and very helpful.

I do not work for the company or have any dealings with them aside from as a customer but they are one of the few that deserve my unmitigated praise.

I recently bought one. I have used it on the last three rounds. It goes like a train. Good value at £199 delivered.

You're right, I work for the company who supplied Hill Billy with thousands of motors over the years. We tested one of the Gokart motors and it was very efficient. The motor also has a small fan that keeps it cool, basically meaning the motor can be smaller and its power output should be more consistent.

Anyway guys, thanks for the feedback, I'll be giving it some consideration.
