Anyone had their GoKart serviced before?

The battery has now gone on mine and i'm thinking of getting the trolley serviced too as the warranty is up soon.

Anyone know what they do?

When I had mine converted to the automatic handle they went through it top to bottom and renewed all damaged and missing bits and then gave it a 2 year warranty - top company!

Chris, did it run better, ie. smoother gearing etc. when I had one a few years ago on test I originally rejected it as the gearbox noise was too much for me, I've heard they are quieter in recent times but just wondered if the service would address such issues too.

They will fix anything you tell them about I'm sure, but mine's always run well except when Mashley wrecked it a couple of weeks ago with a loose shot which smashed the wheel! GoKart sent me the bits free and I fixed it myself

Had mine serviced and repaired last year and I noticed a reduction in motor noise. Still not "silent" but much better imho.
HTH

OP - not sure the battery is a warranty item. Think you need to buy a new one. I sourced one over the internet and swapped over the holder thingamajig. Took about 10 mins and saved a few £s plus I got a slightly higher capacity one than the original.

Have sourced a battery from another source and it cost about half what GoKart etc are flogging them for so happy with that, it is only a one year warranty on the battery so mine is out.

I was just wondering bout the service too as the battery has gone maybe the trolley could use some TLC there is an oil mark on the gearbox housing so I assume this may be an issue, but think £100 may be a little steep depending on what is done during the service.

I had mine serviced for £99 last year. They go over the whole trolley replacing anything and everything that needs changing. It comes back looking rather new and you get 2 years warranty as well.

Excellent customer service, the John Lewis of trolley manufacturers.

I had mine serviced this year. I had damaged the frame itself but they repaired it during the service. The trolley is still noisier than most but they did a superb job and I honestly had to check to make sure it was still my trolley. The 2 year after service warranty brings peace of mind and it's good value for money imo.

Thanks guys, sounds worthwhile when my warranty expires in a few months.

How long do you normally get out of your batteries, I use mine once or twice a week and it has lasted eighteen months thought it may of lasted longer than that.

I play about the same amount and have been lucky to get a year out of some I've bought online

Note this is NOT a critisism.
I had mine done last year. It was very poorly and I wasn't convinced they could possibly do the refurb in their stated turn a round time so put a sticker on it. A different one, same colour, came back on time. Does it really matter if it's yours or not? No it doesn't. One year warranty on the one that comes back. What's not to like.
