Morning all

I'm going hybrid shopping tonight as I'm not getting what I want from the SLDR 3 hybrid that I currently use, it launches too low for what I'm looking for.

What have you hit that launches high and plummets down with snow on it? I'm looking for all carry.

New or old....I'm open to ideas.

Cheers

Adam

Best hybrid ever made (IMO) is the Titleist 910 but for high and descending steep I hear the current TaylorMade Aeroburner is on it! Ask Rooter, he just got one.

The Adams Blue hybrid might be worth a go too. They've been designed specifically to launch high. Might not be for you, but worth a go!

Mike H has a good video report on the Adams Blue range that is worth viewing. He confirms just how easy they are to hit.

Seven recommendations so far. Has that helped or just confused matters? Maybe it means that you should be okay whichever one you get. When you choose please remember to post back so we know which one fitted your criteria best of all.

It's helped, I've just had a quick read about some of them and a couple seem to have draw bias - which I don't want. Maybe rather stupidly I've never seen myself as good enough to try Titleist gear out, but I'll give them a hit tonight.

I'll write up something tomorrow.

Cheers all

You should really just be going to retailer/fitter with a good recordable device like GC2 or trackman to find out what suits best and try a few different types.... regardless of brand name or what you fancy

Titleist is no longer a "better player" brand, they have worked hard to make it as forgiving as anything else. The ARC channel makes most sense with the hybrid as its usually hit off the deck and helps with low on the face hits. Its meant to be a machine. Lots of stock shaft options as always with Titleist.

Horses for (golf) courses.

I bought the Nike Vapor flex two weeks ago which is fully adjudtable 21*- 25* and neutral-fade-draw bias too and I love it finding it very easy to hit, gets good height and + it looks the biz too.

Suits me, sir, but of course will not be be everyone's cup of Darjeeling.

I'm sorry but this is the most meaningful post in this thread! There might possibly be nothing wrong with you SLDR, it could be you! Take the SLDR along to compare numbers (ideally strike - so GC2 HMT needed) I know I'll get ripped on this post but you are just throwing money at clubs without full knowledge of your swing. I get bet you bought the SLDR blind too? Don't make the same mistake twice.

One final point. Increased ball flight "height" requires club loft and speed (with a good strike) do you have these in order to maintain distance and control? Something may have to give otherwise.....

Good luck I look forward to being made a fool for posting rubbish! lol

I'm a feel player....if something flies right and does what I want it to then it goes in the bag. I 100% understand peoples like of numbers/stats that trackman can provide, but that's of little importance to me if the club doesn't do what I want it to.

Yes, I hit the ball well.

How low is too low? I use the SLDR 4H and it flies (high). The SLDR hybrids are one of the best on the market and easy to hit. Get a pro to check your set up/swing/shaft before splashing out.
