Going against conventional thought!

Im just curious to know is there anyone on here that has went against the opinion of their Pro about what equipment or shafts they should be using......

Im getting splinters in my backside about a custom fit.....Mainly because i was told by my Pro that i need stiff shafts in everything....He asked me why i hit a regular shafted 3 wood and why i have a regular shafted 7 wood and why my irons are S300's and my driver is stiff....

As you can see iv a mix and match of everything.....

If you put a stiif shaft v Reg shaft in my hand in any club i doubt id be able to tell the difference...... Im not a short hitter and not the longest but everyone says that i have a very smooth swing with the Irons and especially the woods.....But when i get the driver in my hand ...Well its a lottery......

Has anyone been fitted for stiff shafts only to prefer hitting Regular shafts..... Im not distance obsessed by any means but having a 7 iron swing speed of 86mph and a driver swingspeed of around 104mph conventional thinking has me in the Stiff category.....
What would i likely see a change in if i went to a regular more forgiving headed driver.....

ive just put my rifle 5.0 nike pro combos back in the bag. I seem to put a smoother swing on the reg shafts.


ive only ever had a quick go on the launch monitor in American golf and was told im over 100mph with the driver and im firmly in the stiff category for the driver. currently hitting a stiff aldila rip red eyes. hitting it really well. I just cant hit reg shaft drivers. I think I had a bit of a quick transition at the top of the swing. reg shaft drivers just seem to have the head still up round my ear when it should be at impact. lol
